Twenty day mentorship program

For the 'Time rich cash poor' who wants hands on experience of running  houses in multiple occupation (HMO's), also known as multi lets and shared houses, HMO Daddy will provide you with training, experience and accommodation at no cost, anyone who is not work shy and does not mind getting their hands dirty! This is a fantastic opportunity not only to see first hand what it is like to run HMO's but to learn the business and how to identify and source HMO's. There is also a possibility of this leading to a well paid full time post with HMO Daddy.

You must be available for a minimum of 20 days which can be spread over a period of about 6 months and you keep to an agreed timetable of attendance.

AIM

To show the mentee the main aspects of operating the business and to involve the mentee in working in role(s) and or project(s) within their capabilities and comfort zone.

ROLES

Answering the phone and taking messages, answering enquiries for accommodation

Administration and typing

Inputting rents and checking rents

Processing and chasing Housing Benefit claims

Showing properties to prospective tenants

Letting properties and inducting tenants

Rent collection and handling poor payers

Property inspections and meter readings

Minor repairs

Cleaning and preparing units

Redecorating

Revise Operating Standards in the light of your experiences to improve clarity and comprehensiveness

Give constructive feedback in writing of your experience as a tenant

Give constructive feedback in writing of your experience as a mentee with emphasis on how I can improve

      -profitability by property

      -average stay / turnover

REQUIREMENT

Attendance on the mentorship is voluntary and no charge is made nor is any expenses paid except for travel whist on duty.

I will provide free accommodation in my available units and you need to bring your own sleeping bag, towel etc.

All I ask for in return is you are consistent, tell me when you will be coming and come when you say you will and do what you agree to do.
